Charlie Batch brings students to HOF

Hall Info Published on : 5/15/2008

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch started the 2007 NFL season by completing 4 of 6 passes for 51 yards in his team’s 20-7 win over the New Orleans Saints in the Hall of Fame Game last August.

Today, he returned to Canton but not with his teammates. Rather, Batch (front center in photo above) brought more than 100 students from Steel Valley School District in Munhall, PA on a field trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Batch is an alumnus of the school district located near Pittsburgh.

The Hall of Fame, Steelers and Batch’s Best of the Batch Foundation partnered to provide the field trip at no cost to the students and teachers. A large portion of the transportation was subsidized through the Hall’s John Madden Hall of Fame Education Foundation.
