Hall of Fame running back Tony Dorsett toured the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday (April 17). The Class of 1994 inductee was in Canton on business.

His visit marked the first time he has been able to take an extended stroll through the exhibition areas.

"I really didn't realize just how much history is in this building," he commented. "When you're enshrined in the Hall, you don't get an opportunity to get around and see all the exhibits and all you have here. So, this is very informative and quite interesting."

Dorsett, one of the game's most prolific runners, accumulated 12,739 yards rushing and 3,544 yards receiving. He scored 91 touchdowns including an NFL record 99-yard run versus the Minnesota Vikings in 1983.

"I think that Tuna's just what the doctor ordered. He's a guy that can create a lot of discipline in the organization, get these guys playing up to their true potential, and in some regards some of the guys playing above their potential. I think that's what it's going to take for the Cowboys franchise to become again one of the upper echelon teams in the league."
