New York Giants vs. Washington Redskins

The New York Giants and the Washington Redskins have battled every year since 1932 to gain supremacy. Although the Redskins have a 75-55-4 advantage over the Giants, this is one of the longest and most heated rivalries in the NFL. The Redskins have won three in a row, but the Giants are 3-0 and look to remain undefeated when the teams meet this Sunday. In addition to the traditional aspect of the rivalry, both teams figure to contend for the 2000 NFC East Division title.

Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The AFC Central has been dominated by these two teams over the years. Cleveland leads the series, 54-41, but the Steelers have won seven out of the last nine games. After a three-year layoff, the rivalry renewed last season when the new Cleveland Browns began play. The Steelers crushed the Browns 43-0 in the first game, and the Browns pulled out their only victory of the season, 16-15, over the Steelers. Week Three saw another classic in the series, with the Browns winning 23-20. They wrap up the 2000 season series Oct. 22 at Cleveland.

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears

The rivalry between the Bears and Packers dates back to 1921, with the Chicago Staleys defeating the Packers, 20-0. The teams have battled 158 times, with the Bears holding an 82-70-6 advantage over their fierce rivals. Surprisingly, the Bears and Packers have met only once in the playoffs, with the Bears winning 33-14 in 1941. The Packers dominated the last decade, winning 13 out of 20 games, including 10 in a row from 1994-99. A last-second blocked field goal in Green Bay helped the Bears snap the string with a 14-13 win last season. They meet again this season Oct. 1 in Green Bay.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders

Kansas City holds a 42-38-2 all-time edge over the Raiders in this always-bitter rivalry. The teams first met in 1960 when the Chiefs were the Dallas Texans and both teams were in the AFL. The Texans won the first match, 34-16. The teams met in one AFL Championship game -- in 1969 -- with the Chiefs pulling out a 17-7 win. The teams split two meetings last season with each game decided by a field goal. The Chiefs have won five out of the last six games, and were 18-2 against the Raiders in the '90s. Their first meeting this season is Oct. 15 in Kansas City.
