Michael Strahan to Receive Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence

Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive end Michael Strahan will receive his Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence, created by Kay® Jewelers, during the New York Giants Week 9 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Monday, Nov. 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
Strahan will receive his Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence from Pro Football Hall of Fame President David Baker at halftime. The special ceremony will highlight the Giants’ Homecoming Weekend that is celebrating the franchise’s long and storied tradition by welcoming back more than 100 former Giants legends. Joining Strahan and his family and friends on the field will be his fellow Gold Jackets (living Hall of Famers) Harry Carson, Frank Gifford, and Lawrence Taylor.
The Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence is one of three iconic symbols that represent the elite status of being a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Strahan received his Hall of Fame Gold Jacket on the eve of his enshrinement in Canton, and unveiled his Bronzed Bust during the Enshrinement Ceremony. All three symbols will be displayed during the ring presentation on Monday night. He will wear his Hall of Fame Gold Jacket and his Bronzed Bust will be temporarily removed from the Hall of Fame and shipped to MetLife Stadium for the Ring of Excellence ceremony.

Strahan was enshrined into the Hall of Fame on Saturday, Aug. 2 along with Derrick Brooks, Ray Guy, Claude Humphrey, Walter Jones, Andre Reed, and Aeneas Williams. Strahan is the 20th longtime member of the Giants franchise to be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
