Pro Football Hall of Fame tackle Anthony Muñoz represented the Hall of Fame’s proud partner AirTran Airways at the Akron-Canton Airport on Friday afternoon.

The 11-time All-Pro was on hand Friday afternoon as part of a promotion titled, “Mark on AirTran” where a traveler named Mark is living on AirTran’s Boeing jets for 30 days. Aside from getting over his fear of flying, Mark is enjoying the Wi-Fi service on the jet. AirTran Airways is the first major carrier to offer Wi-FI on every flight. The airline also announced that
it will offer four weekly flights to Fort Lauderdale, and five to Ft. Myers from Akron-Canton Airport. The routes will be flown daily starting in mid-November.

A big NFL fan, Mark wanted to stop in Canton, home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. As he descended the jet’s steps, Mark was greeted by the former Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman and Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 1998 member as well as a host of others.

Muñoz then conducted a quick “training camp” for Mark on a makeshift field on the tarmac located outside the airport’s Gate 9. Following the tutorial, Anthony and Mark enjoyed a tailgate party.
