The Pro Football Hall of Fame has entered a partnership as the title sponsor for the Texas vs. the Nation All-Star game. The Pro Football Hall of Fame Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Challenge takes place at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010.

The game features top collegiate players originally from Texas against a team of top players from around the nation. Many of the players participating in the game ultimately end up in the National Football League. In 2009, 111 of 119 players on the game’s roster signed NFL contracts.

"We are proud that this synergy came together to form this partnership with Texas vs. the Nation," said Dave Motts, the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Vice President of Marketing/Operations. "It steps up the Pro Football Hall of Fame brand and will enhance the level of this bowl game in the up and coming years."

The Pro Football Hall of Fame will set up a special exhibit at the El Paso International Airport that features artifacts from the Hall of Fame’s collection related to Texas. A few samples of the memorabilia that will be on display are jerseys from Bobby Layne, Darrell Green, and Bob Lilly and helmets such as one from the Dallas Cowboys inaugural 1960 season and a helmet worn by Houston Oilers’ legend and Hall of Fame defensive end Elvin Bethea. In addition, the Hall’s Educational Outreach Program will develop programs with the El Paso Independent School District.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Challenge will be televised by the CBS College Sports Network on Feb. 6. Kickoff is slated for 12 noon MT (2 p.m. ET).
