Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall (left) established a new team record when he caught 18 passes for 166 yards in his team's thrilling 39-38 win over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. He broke the franchise record established by Rod Smith who had 14 catches on Sept. 23, 2001.

Marshall's 18 receptions is also tied for the second most ever in an NFL game.

Terrell Owens set the NFL record in 2000 as a member of the San Francisco 49ers when he caught 20 passes against the Chicago Bears. Owens broke the long-standing mark of Los Angeles Rams Hall of Fame end Tom Fears who had 18 catches against the Green Bay Packers in a game in 1950.
