The Cleveland Browns drafted LeBeau in the seventh round of the 1959 NFL Draft.

The Detroit Lions signed LeBeau after he was released from the Cleveland Browns during his rookie camp in 1959.

LeBeau started the final six games of the 1959 campaign embarking on a streak of 171 consecutive starts, a record for a cornerback.

Dick led the Lions in interceptions in 1965 and earned his second of three consecutive Pro Bowl berths for his efforts.

LeBeau, who was elected to the Hall of Fame as a player, embarked on a storied coaching career in the NFL after his playing days concluded following the 1972 season.

In 1973 LeBeau was named the Special Teams Coach for the Philadelphia Eagles a position which he held through 1975.

After four seasons (1976-79) as the defensive backs coach for the Green Bay Packers, LeBeau returned to Ohio for the next 12 seasons as the defensive backs coach, then defensive coordinator, and eventually head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Tooday, LeBeau is the Steelers Defensive Coordinator. He has spent a combined 50-plus years in the NFL as a Hall of Fame player, and a long-time coach.
