The New England Patriots selected QB Steve Grogan in the fifth round of the 1975 NFL Draft out of Kansas State.
Grogan played his entire 16-season career with the Patriots, retiring following the 1990 season.
Grogan became only the 26th passer in NFL history to throw for over 25,000 yards.
Grogan's career statistics include 26,886 passing yards and 182 TDs.
At the time of his retirement, Grogan owned nearly every Patriots passing record.
Steve Grogan quickly saw action in his rookie season. He played in 13 games starting seven of the last eight contests.
