The Pro Football Hall of Fame has learned former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Tony Boselli has returned home to continue his recovery from the COVID-19 infection he contracted in March.

Boselli, a four-time finalist for enshrinement into the Hall, had entered a Jacksonville-area hospital for treatment only a few days ago.

“We couldn’t be happier for Tony and his family that he is back home,” David Baker, president and CEO of the Hall, said Wednesday. “We will continue to keep Tony in our thoughts, and we pray that with rest at home and the care of his family and medical team, he can make a full recovery.”

Boselli is a member of the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 1990s. He was the first player Jacksonville drafted after joining the National Football League. He anchored the Jaguars’ line as left tackle from 1995 to 2001, earning section to five Pro Bowl teams and three All-Pro teams. He appeared in 91 games, with 90 starts, before a shoulder injury curtailed his career.
