The Pro Football Hall of Fame offers award-winning virtual field trip programs. The use of this technology allows students from across the globe to connect with the Hall of Fame to learn more about pro football's rich history. Like the Pro Football Hall of Fame's field trips, these programs are aligned with Common Core/National Standards of Education. The Hall of Fame's virtual field trip program has received international recognition as a Pinnacle Award winner through the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC).

The Pinnacle Award is given annually, by the CILC, to organizations that receive outstanding scores on program evaluations submitted by educators and other end users. Receiving the award indicates remarkable quality of educational content and exceptional skill at program delivery. CILC takes pride in its assurances to members that programs are high-quality, evaluated by educators for educators. Evaluations recognize not only the quality of content, but exceptional skill in engaging learners. A Pinnacle Award recognizes the best of the best, and is a proud badge of excellence.
In 2020, the CILC launched its first annual Pinnacle Hall of Fame Award. To receive this award, content providers must have 10+ years of quality programming.
