Zachary Levi to play Kurt Warner in 'American Underdog' life story

We know Kurt Warner as the Gold Jacket who rose to that elite level from the humble status of a bagger at a grocery store in Iowa.

Given the opportunity, first in the Arena Football League and later in the National Football League, Warner directed the St. Louis Rams and their “Greatest Show on Turf” to victory in Super Bowl XXXIV in a season that saw him also win the league MVP award.

Warner’s life, its own Hollywood script, soon will hit the big screen, and the actor chosen to portray Warner has been selected: Zachary Levi:

According to various media covering the Hollywood film scene, Levi will take the lead role in "American Underdog," which is set to begin production later this year.

Levi is best known for starring in the superhero movie “Shazam” and the Amazon Prime series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
