Rob Bironas of the Tennessee Titans entered the NFL record books last Sunday when he successfully converted eight field goal attempts during a 38-36 win over AFC South division rival Houston Texans (NFL.com Game Center). The ball kicked by Bironas to establish the new mark arrived at the Pro Football Hall of Fame and will be placed on display in the Hall’s Pro Football Today exhibition area.

Bironas converted field goals of 52, 25, 21, 30, 28, 43 yards with the final two coming from 29-yards out. The record kick came as time expired following a 63-yard drive in the final minute by Titans quarterback Kerry Collins.
The previous mark of seven field goals in a game was first set by Jim Bakken in 1967 and most recently accomplished by Billy Cundiff in 2003. Two other kickers, Rich Karlis (1989) and Chris Boniol (1996) have also kicked seven field goals in a game.
