California State Lottery Winner Hits Hall of Fame Jackpot
Doug Chatman hit the football lottery in December and cashed in during the most exciting weekend in all of sports – Super Bowl weekend.
The 74-year-old aerospace industry retiree bought a $30 California Lottery Scratchers ticket that could have potentially won him $10 million. He didn’t win the money, but instead he won the second chance prize - a five-day, four-night, all-expenses-paid trip for two to the Bay Area to watch the Super Bowl.
So far during his trip, he has been surrounded by Gold…Gold Jackets (living Hall of Famers) that is. Chapman received a special guided tour by Legendary tight end Kellen Winslow of the Hall of Fame’s Gridiron Glory: The Best of the Hall of Fame exhibit. The 6,000 square-foot exhibit features hundreds of artifacts from the Hall of Fame’s collection and captures the essence of the Hall of Fame experience.
Chapman was also lucky enough to attend the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Merlin Olsen Luncheon. During the event, Chapman was able to interact with and hear stories from many Gold Jackets and NFL Legends.
