NFL's Greatest Reunion - a moment to remember
The National Football League and the Pro Football Hall of Fame opened the 21st century in style. In what was called Pro Football's Greatest Reunion, a record number of Hall of Famers returned to Canton to take part in the 2000 Enshrinement Celebration.
One after another, the legends of pro football filed onto the front steps of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Gale Sayers, Joe Namath, Sid Gillman, Deacon Jones, Gino Marchetti- the list went on and on.
Now, just three years later, the NFL and the Hall of Fame have again invited back all living members as part of the museum's 40th anniversary in 2003. The number of returning Hall of Famers has risen to 115.
As the football world prepares for what is believed to be the largest gathering of Hall of Famers from one sport in one place, Profootballhof.com takes a look back at the 2000 reunion.
Take a trip to Canton, Ohio and a journey back in time as we take a look at football's greatest reunion at the Professional Football Hall of Fame.
