Texans' Andre Johnson has memorable '08 season preserved

01/06/2009

The jersey and gloves worn by Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson in the 2008 regular season finale against the Chicago Bears arrived at the Pro Football Hall of Fame today. Johnson established a new NFL record when he recorded 10 catches or more in a game seven times during the '08 season. The ball he caught for his 10th catch against the Bears to set the new record was also sent to the Hall of Fame.

His record-setting performance helped him win his second NFL receiving title in three seasons. Johnson finished the year with a league-high 115 catches for 1,575 yards and 8 TDs.

Johnson also established numerous single-season club records, including receptions and receiving yards, in 2008. In doing so, he led the Texans in receiving for a record fifth time in his six-season career.
