Arizona at Dallas (Cowboys lead series 52-27-1. Cardinals lead post-season series 1-0)
September 28, 1975/Week 2
Cowboys QB Roger Staubach hooked up with tight Billy Joe DuPree on a three-yard touchdown pass with 7:53 into overtime for the win. The game-winning drive was set up when linebacker Lee Roy Jordan picked off a pass by the Cardinals' Jim Hart. Staubach threw for 307 yards and 3 TDs while Hart accumulated 314 yards and 4 TD passes in the game. Final Score: DALLAS 37, St. Louis 31 (OT)

November 27, 1988/Week 13
Bengals RB Ickey Woods rushed for 3 touchdowns to help Cincinnati break Buffalo's seven-game winning streak. Woods gained 129 yards rushing on the day and James Brooks added a pair of TDs (1 rushing, 1 receiving) in what proved to be a preview of the AFC championship game that season. Final Score: CINCINNATI 35, Buffalo 21
Denver at Kansas City (Chiefs lead series 48-37. Broncos lead post-season series 1-0)
September 17, 1990/Week 2
Denver kicker David Treadwell booted a 22-yard field goal as time expired to give the Broncos the win on Monday Night Football. Bobby Humphrey rushed for a pair of TDS (37, 6 yards) and John Elway added another rushing TD to lead Denver. The Chiefs offense was highlighted by two Steve DeBerg-to-Stephone Paige touchdown pass plays (16, 83 yards). Final Score: DENVER 24, Kansas City 23
Miami at N.Y. Giants (Giants lead series 3-1)
December 5, 1993/Week 13
In a battle of division leaders, the Giants were guided by QB Phil Simms who completed 17 of 24 passes for 257 yards and a 20-yard TD pass to Howard Cross just before halftime. The Dolphins' Steve DeBerg threw for 365 yards but the Dolphins suffered 3 sacks, 2 interceptions, a lost fumble, and a blocked field goal in the first loss to an NFC team at Joe Robbie Stadium. Final Score: New York 19, MIAMI 14

Minnesota kicker Rick Danmeier's 27-yard field goal with just 25 seconds remaining gave the Vikings a win in the season openers. The Vikings were sparked by WR Ahmad Rashad who hauled in 11 passes for 160 yards, and QB Tommy Kramer who threw for 395 yards and 3 TDs. Final Score: MINNESOTA 24, Atlanta 23
New Orleans at Carolina (Saints lead series 9-7)
September 8, 1996/Week 2
John Kasay kicked five field goals (51, 22, 29, 51, 27) for the second consecutive week and the Panthers' Winslow Oliver returned a punt 84 yards for a TD to lead Carolina to victory. Rookie WR Muhsin Muhammad contributed 4 key receptions for Carolina in the game that saw the lead change hands five times. Final Score: Carolina 22, NEW ORLEANS 20
Oakland at Chicago (Raiders lead series 6-4)
November 7, 1976/Week 9
QB Ken Stabler connected on a 49-yard TD pass to WR Cliff Branch with 4 1/2 minutes remaining as the Raiders erased a 27-21 lead that the Bears built by scoring 20 points in the quarter. Stabler had also hooked up with Branch on a 75-yarder and a 17-yard TD pass to tight end Dave Casper in the second quarter. Walter Payton rushed for three TDs to fuel the Chicago offense. Final Score: Oakland 28, CHICAGO 27

October 21, 1984/Week 8
Seahawks quarterback Dave Krieg completed 22 of 35 yards for 310 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead Seattle to a win. The Packers lost for the seventh straight game despite totaling over 400 yards offense for the third consecutive week. Packers WR James Lofton recorded a pair of TD receptions (79, 20 yards). Final Score: Seattle 30, GREEN BAY 24

October 13, 1961/Week 6
In a game highlighted by offensive fireworks, the Oilers and Patriots battled to a tie. Oilers QB Jackey Lee threw for 457 yards and 2 TDs. Charley Hennigan had 13 catches for 232 yards and 1 TD while Bill Groman had 5 catches for 148 yards and 1 TD. The Patriots were led by Gino Cappelletti who hauled in 6 catches for 131 yards and 1 TD. Final Score: BOSTON 31, Houston 31
San Diego at Jacksonville
This marks the first game ever between the Chargers and Jaguars. Jacksonville and San Diego have never faced each other in preseason, regular season nor the playoffs.
Detroit at San Francisco (49ers lead series 30-26-1. Post-season series is tied 1-1)
October 22, 1950/Week 6
Left-handed QB Frankie Albert guided the 49ers to the team's first victory of season and snapped his team's five-game losing streak. The win also avenged a 24-7 loss in Detroit two weeks earlier. The Lions had a chance to tie the game but Bobby Layne failed to convert the PAT following Detroit's fourth TD. Final Score: SAN FRANCISCO 28, Detroit 27

November 13, 1949/Week 8
Eagles QB Tommy Thompson fired four TD passes including a pair to Jack Ferrante to lead the Eagles. The Eagles controlled the ball so well, they became just the second team in league history to go an entire game without punting. Philadelphia kicker Cliff Patton missed his first PAT in 85 tries following the Eagles third TD. Final Score: Philadelphia 44, WASHINGTON 21Cleveland at Pittsburgh (Browns lead series 54-46. Steelers lead post-season series 2-0).
October 22, 1961/Week 6
Milt Plum, despite a dislocated thumb, came off the bench to replace Len Dawson in the third quarter and guided the Browns to victory. Bobby Mitchell rushed for 3 TDs (6, 9, 18 yards) and Lou Groza kicked 3 field goals (24, 36, 12 yards) as Cleveland won for the fourth time in six weeks. Final Score: Cleveland 30, PITTSBURGH 28

Indianapolis at Tampa Bay (Colts lead series 5-4)
October 16, 1988/Week 7
The Colts built a 21-10 halftime lead as Eric Dickerson scored on touchdown runs of 1 and 27 yards. Dickerson totaled 80 yards on the day and WR Bill Brooks had 7 catches for 139 yards and a TD for Indianapolis. The Buccaneers were paced by Vinny Testaverde who threw for a career-high 469 yards and 2 TDs. Final Score: INDIANAPOLIS 35, Tampa Bay 31
