In the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Week 13 win over their NFC South Division rival Carolina Panthers, Mike Evans hit two milestones no other receiver in league history had attained.

With his sixth (of seven) catches in the game, Evans reached 60 receptions on the season, becoming the first player in NFL history with at least 60 catches in each of his first 10 seasons. The same reception pushed his yardage total for the season over 1,000, making Evans the first player with at least 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first 10 seasons.

He finished the game with a stat line that read: seven receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown.

Evans also joined Pro Football Hall of Famer JERRY RICE (11 consecutive seasons from 1986-1996) as the only players in NFL history with at least 1,000 receiving yards in 10 consecutive seasons.

During the game, Evans wore special cleats supporting the “My Cause My Cleats” initiative, sporting the logo for his Mike Evans Family Foundation. It aims to “empower and support individuals so that they know that no goal is unattainable.”

One of Evans’ many efforts to give back is the “Catch for Kids” campaign. At the end of the NFL season, the foundation donates to community organizations one item for every yard and 13 items for every touchdown Evans accumulated.

Now on display in the Hall of Fame’s “Pro Football Today Gallery” are the “My Cause My Cleats” shoes Evans wore during the record-setting performance.
