Every

expectation

I

had

going

into

the

internship

was

exceeded.

After

learning

about

the

internship

and

then

interviewing

for

it,

I

thought

I

had

a

good

conception

of

what

it'd

be

like;

however,

week

after

week,

I

was

blown

away.

Every

day

in

the

office

felt

upbeat

and

exciting,

and

I

really

enjoyed

working

around

people

who

were

passionate

about

what

they

did.

not

expect

to

be

given

as

many

responsibilities

or

opportunities

as

we

were.

I

never

felt

like

I

was

there

just

to

do

‘intern

work.’

We

were

included

in

meetings,

given

important

projects,

introduced

to

so

many

people

and

given

opportunities

to

experience

departments

outside

of

our

own.

The

weekly

OTA

program

was

one

of

my

favorite

parts

of

the

internship.

Meeting

professionals

who

have

experience

in

fields

that

have

always

interested

me,

specifically

the

NFL,

was

something

that

opened

my

eyes

to

the

many

different

avenues

out

there.

It

was

also

a

great

way

to

check

in

with

fellow

interns

throughout

the

week.

loved

how

front-facing

my

role

was

in

Communications.

I

didn’t

feel

like

I

was

behind-the-scenes

for

most

of

the

internship.

I

felt

like

I

was

entrusted

to

be

able

to

interact

with

media

during

Enshrinement

Week

and

also

contribute

different

written

pieces

to

the

Hall’s

website.

Sometime,

organizations

can

cast

their

interns

aside,

but

I

did

not

feel

that

whatsoever

with

the

Hall.

I

truly

felt

part

of

the

team

this

summer.

The

Museum

Team

really

gave

us

independence,

letting

us

curate

the

Anniversary

Locker

exhibit

and

create

captions

with

helpful

feedback.

I

would

also

say

OTAs

surpassed

my

expectations.

They

were

a

lot

of

fun

and

provided

great

opportunities

for

learning

and

building

connections.

The

company

culture

was

great!

I

would

describe

it

as

a

team,

there

was

a

drive

to

always

perform

their

best,

while

still

focusing

on

one

goal.

It

truly

was

like

a

family,

with

everyone

very

open

to

helping,

and

I

saw

this

a

lot

during

Enshrinement

Week,

with

people

from

all

departments

helping

in

every

aspect.

Everyone

was

respectful,

kind

and

hardworking.

knew

I

would

be

working

with

youth

and

helping

with

programs,

but

I

didn’t

realize

how

much

responsibility

I

would

have.

I

was

able

to

communicate

with

groups,

help

with

registrations,

work

with

volunteers

and

eventually

take

the

lead

on

KidsFest.

I

also

got

to

see

how

much

planning

goes

into

large

events.

This

internship

helped

me

both

personally

and

professionally

because

I

learned

a

lot

about

myself

and

who

I

want

to

continue

to

be.
