Summer Internship Program

Summer Internship Program

The Pro Football Hall of Fame, located in Canton, Ohio, the birthplace of the National Football League, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with the Mission to “Honor the Greatest of the Game, Preserve its History, Promote its Values & Celebrate Excellence Together.” An exhilarating world class museum and attraction, the Pro Football Hall of Fame pays tribute to the talents and triumphs of pro football’s greatest.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Summer Internship Program provides a meaningful and educational, hands-on experience in a variety of disciplines. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to the organization’s success and gain real world experience throughout the summer leading up to the annual Enshrinement Week.

In addition to departmental work, all interns are required to attend weekly OTAs – organized team activities – which includes engagement with industry experts, networking opportunities, professional skill development and team building activities.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame understands most individuals seeking an internship are doing so to gain experience. While no particular professional experience is required, preference is given to those who show that they have taken initiative to develop their personal and professional skills.

All summer interns will receive a stipend while interning at the Hall of Fame. If an applicant is seeking college credit, the Hall of Fame will work to meet all necessary requirements. Interns must be available for approximately 40 hours per week from Monday, June 3 through Monday, Aug. 5, 2024 with extended hours expected around Enshrinement Week.

"Living in Canton and working for the Pro Football Hall of fame immerses you in football in a way that few other experiences can. The Hall’s internship program is special because you get to learn and grow as part of a small team while the work you produce reaches a global audience." Brendan, Intern Summer 2022

"My summer at the Pro Football Hall of Fame was one of the most hands-on and enriching experiences I've had. Every staff member, regardless of department, was more than willing to help with anything I needed which resulted in one-of-a-kind networking opportunities. I couldn't have asked for a better internship program and am excited to see how it helps me progress in my career going forward." – Taylor, Intern Summer 2021

"My summer at the Pro Football Hall of Fame was vital to my holistic growth as an individual looking to grow in the world of sports business. Not only did I learn so much about myself from this experience, but I also gained a wealth of knowledge in fan-experience, event planning, internal and external communication, relationship management and of course the history of professional football!” – Lexi, Intern Summer 2021

“As an intern we had an Organized Team Activity (OTA) every Wednesday that included guest speakers from the management team, as well as outside guests from the Green Bay Packers and NFL Films. This OTA program sets you up for success by getting to know the other interns and also meeting the staff that makes this place special.” – Marcus, Intern Summer 2020
