Summer Internship Program FAQ

How do I apply?

Applicants who meet requirements for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Summer Internship Program can apply at (link to application). The deadline to apply for a 2021 position is February 15, 2021.

Who is eligible for an internship?

To be considered for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Summer Internship Program, students must have completed at least their sophomore year and be enrolled in a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree program at a college or university during the internship, or have just graduated in May of the year of their internship.

Is a stipend offered?

Yes, all interns receive a stipend.

Can I receive college credit for the internship?

Yes, if an applicant is seeking college credit, the Pro Football Hall of Fame will work to meet all necessary requirements.

When will applicants be notified of their acceptance?

Once the application deadline is reached, all applications will be carefully reviewed and distributed to respective departments to begin the interview process. All applicants will be notified of the decision by April 1, 2021.

What are the start and end dates of the internship?

The 2021 Summer Internship Program begins Tuesday, June 1 and ends Wednesday, August 11, 2021.

How many hours will I work?

The work schedule varies for interns depending on the needs of each department. Some interns will work weekends, holidays and evenings. All interns will accumulate approximately 40 hours per week with extended hours expected during Enshrinement Week (August 5-9, 2021). Interns do not receive vacation or personal days and are expected to work each week for the duration of the internship.

Is housing available?

A local college in Canton, Ohio, less than 2 miles from the Hall of Fame, offers dorm housing for interns (subject to state regulations related to COVID-19). If desired, interns may seek housing elsewhere.


Candidates should have general knowledge of professional football and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.

There is one position available. Candidates majoring in education, physical education, sports business or related field.
