I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Along with the excitement of a new year and the end of Christmas shopping, comes the excitement of the NFL playoffs as well as the last release of NFL McFarlane figures for the 2011 season. If you are unfamiliar with McFarlane figures, they are approximately 6-inch replica figures of your favorite NFL players. Each McFarlane features incredible detail all the way down to facial hair, eye black, and tattoos.

McFarlane toys began producing NFL figures in 2001. Currently the NFL series consist of 6 to 8 figures, including at least one NFL legend. Series 28 includes stars who will make major contributions to the pending playoff success of their teams.

Clay Matthews is shown making his trademark pose after a ferocious sack or other incredible play. The high powered Green Bay Packers offense has been getting all the attention this season. But, the Packers defense, led by Matthews at linebacker, will have to step up and make some plays to ensure the Packers chance at defending their Super Bowl champion title.

Andre Johnson is considered to be one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. On any given play, as seen in his McFarlane pose, he can make a diving, finger-tipped catch. Even though he has been plagued by injuries this season, only playing in seven games, he will have to make big plays if the Houston Texans want to advance in the franchise's first postseason appearance.

Ben Roethlisberger seemingly shakes off injuries in the same manner in which he escapes defenders to make a huge play. Whether it is a fractured thumb or sprained ankle, Roethlisberger continues to start as the Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback and competes on every play. His figure shows him standing tall, ready to step up and fire a bullet pass right on target for a touchdown. He will be looking to win his third Super Bowl and add to the Steelers record six Super Bowl victories.

Drew Brees led a high powered offensive attack during the 2009 NFL season, resulting in a Super Bowl XLIV victory. This season Brees has been rewriting the NFL record books by breaking Dan Marino's single season record for passing yardage. Brees' figure features him sprinting out of the pocket while looking downfield ready to make a big pass play. The New Orleans Saints have surged at the end of the regular season, and hope they are peaking at the right time for a deep playoff run. If you have not seen the video of the Hall of Fame receiving Brees' uniform from the record breaking game, then check it out here after you finish reading this blog.

Congratulations to the teams who will be continuing their quest for Super Bowl XLVI glory. The Hall of Fame Store has these and many other McFarlanes to choose. Be sure to pick up your favorite McFarlane figures for your collection or have them ready for unique door prizes or NFL centerpieces at your own Super Bowl XLVI Party.
