We’re just one month removed from the announcement of our Class of 2012 – Jack Butler, Dermontti Dawson, Chris Doleman, Cortez Kennedy, Curtis Martin, and Willie Roaf. In the short time since, many cool things have been happening involving the Hall of Fame. Donations of mementos arrived from Dawson and Roaf. More will follow soon.

Dawson and Butler have stopped by Canton in preparation for their enshrinement this summer. They took time, as will the other four members of the newly elected class, to get acquainted with the Hall of Fame and the Canton area.

Last week, the teams for the NFL/Hall of Fame Game were announced. The Arizona Cardinals and the New Orleans Saints will kick off the 2012 NFL preseason schedule from Canton’s Fawcett Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 5. Much is happening at the Hall of Fame to move us towards the first weekend in August for the enshrinement and game.

The Hall of Fame Store also has exciting news to announce. Just days after being elected as the Class of 2012, the new enshrinees met with Hall of Fame officials to discuss the preparations for their formal induction on Aug. 4. As part of the meetings, the six members of the new class were gracious enough to autograph some items for us. Now you can be one of the first people to own an item autographed by the entire Class of 2012. We have three items offered for sale.

First we have an exclusive Wilson collector’s edition football with one brown NFL panel and then three white panels featuring the Hall of Fame logo, the words Class of 2012, and the Hall of Famers’ autographs.

Second, we have a Riddell full size replica Hall of Fame helmet, featuring a white helmet with a red/black stripe going down the center separating Hall of Fame decals on both sides, surrounded by the Hall of Famers’ autographs.
