WEEK 14 POWER RANKINGS

1. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (11-1)

LAST WEEK RANKING: 2

WEEK 14: @ MIAMI DOLPHINS (8-4)

The Chiefs are back atop the Power Rankings following a 22-16 victory over the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium.

The win clinched a playoff berth for Kansas City, but what is most important is the Chiefs’ journey to the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The next step is clinching the AFC West, which can be done with one more victory or Las Vegas Raiders loss throughout the rest of the regular season.

An AFC West title would be the franchise’s fifth consecutive divisional crown.

2. PITTSBURGH STEELERS (11-1)

LAST WEEK RANKING: 1

WEEK 14: @ BUFFALO BILLS (9-3)

The Steelers fell back to earth Monday, losing to the Washington Football Team, 23-17.

While the road to perfection was never a specific goal for Pittsburgh, it was impossible to ignore as a possibility this deep into the regular season.

But with the expectations of perfection now out the window, Mike Tomlin and company can keep their focus on the main goal: battling Kansas City for the top seed in the AFC.

Due to the altered playoff structure for this season, the race between the Steelers and Chiefs atop the conference will have huge ramifications for the rest of the AFC playoff picture.

3. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (10-2)

LAST WEEK RANKING: 3

WEEK 14: @ PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (3-8-1)

Taysom Hill is 3-0 as the Saints’ starting quarterback this season, acing his audition if he is hoping to attract the eye of any potential suitors in the offseason.

The hybrid backup threw for 232 yards and two touchdowns in the Saints’ 21-16 win over Atlanta on Sunday, sweeping the season series between the divisional rivals.

Hill’s short stint might be over this week, though, as Drew Brees is reported to be nearing his return date following several broken ribs and a punctured lung.

Regardless, Hill has weathered the storm in Brees’ absence and put New Orleans at the top of the NFC.

4. GREEN BAY PACKERS (9-3)

LAST WEEK RANKING: 4

WEEK 14: @ DETROIT LIONS (5-7)

Aaron Rodgers continued his fantastic 2020 season in Sunday’s 30-16 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The MVP candidate threw for 295 yards and three touchdowns on 25-for-34 passing, bringing his touchdown tally to a league-leading 36.

With a three-game lead over the Vikings in the NFC North, Green Bay is in prime position to take the divisional title as it competes with New Orleans for the top seed in the conference.

5. BUFFALO BILLS (9-3)

LAST WEEK RANKING: NR

WEEK 14: VS. PITTSBURGH STEELERS (11-1)

Going into this past week, the Buffalo Bills had not won a game on “Monday Night Football” in 21 years.

That streak was broken with a 34-24 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Josh Allen shined in the historic win, throwing for 375 yards and four touchdowns. He connected with Cole Beasley nine times for 130 yards.

Buffalo is one game ahead of Miami in the AFC East but faces its biggest test of the season Sunday.
