Character: Courage. 'Forgotten Four' reintegrated pro football in 1946

Looking at the “Forgotten Four,” there might not be a better definition of COURAGE.
These men — Kenny Washington, Woody Strode, BILL WILLIS and MARION MOTLEY — reintegrated professional football in 1946, a year before Jackie Robinson did the same in Major League Baseball to much more fanfare.
They did this in a time when African-Americans had limited rights and opportunities in this country, especially in professional sports.
These men were courageous and paved the way for the stars of today’s game.
