A Little About
Football 101: Ladies Night at the Hall of Fame

Following dinner and a tour of the museum Mix 94.1 radio host Kathy Vogel introduced Jack Youngblood to the room full of Football 101 participants. Jack welcomed the group and spoke very candidly and warmly about the Hall of Fame and the people of Canton. He also answered questions from the crowd ranging from what it was like playing with a broken leg to what advice he would give to youth football players.

1480 WHBC radio host Pam Cook then introduced Jack’s wife, Barb. The two shared lots of laughs throughout their conversation as Barb dished on how she met Jack, and what it’s like to be married to a Hall of Famer and much more.

The ladies then broke off into groups and learned the basics of offense, defense and special teams. Local high school coaches explained the respective positions, terminologies, objectives and strategies of the game. Jack put on his coaching hat and explained the defensive side of football and even gave the ladies a chance to go up against him in a blocking drill.

At the conclusion of the event, the ladies had the chance to talk with Jack and Barb, get autographs, and take pictures with the legendary defensive end.
