A Little About
Senior Day

On Wednesday, September 28, 2011, the Pro Football Hall of Fame will offer free admission to visitors 55-years-old and older as a part of our annual Senior Day event.  In addition to free admission, Aultman Health Foundation will offer free general health screenings and informational booths on senior care throughout the museum from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Health screening and tests offered include: cholesterol*, triglycerides*, blood sugar*, body mass index, and blood pressure.  Assessments such as diabetes risk, breast cancer risk, heart disease, and other helpful screenings will also be available. It is important to note that for optimal test results it is recommended that individuals fast 12-16 hours prior to those screenings noted with an asterisk.

This year, Aultman is providing a service called “Ask the Expert” including a dietician, surgeon, exercise physiologist and pharmacist for seniors seeking more information on these topics.  In addition, general health information booths are offered including cancer, stroke, pain management, sleep disorder, grief services, home safety tips and information on several other services.

Special football presentations sharing interesting and historic facts about memorabilia in the Hall of Fame’s collection that is not currently on display will take place throughout the day by Hall of Fame docents.

All adults (55 and older) will receive a complimentary 2011 Pro Football Hall of Fame Yearbook, 10% discount in the Hall of Fame Store, souvenir provided by Aultman Health Foundation, Johnnie’s Bakery cake, as well as coffee and tea provided by Emil’s Catering.

No reservations are required for individuals; for groups of 20 or more, advance arrangements are recommended.
