HOF visits Ryder Cup
|
While pro football and golf are unmistakably dissimilar sports, they do share a common historical thread. Both the Ryder Cup Matches and the National Football League were launched by like-minded men of vision during the golden age of sports, the 1920s.
As such, twelve members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame are on hand for this weekend's Ryder Cup in Michigan. The group will play in the Pro Football Hall of Fame/Michigan Economic Development Corporation Golf Invitational at Wyndgate Country Club in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
The Hall of Famers (see below) were invited to take part in the festivities surrounding the Ryder Cup by Donald E. Jakeway, President and CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Jakeway also serves on the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Board of Trustees.
