Hester_MementosThe jersey worn by Chicago Bears rookie Devin Hester on November 12, 2006 when he tied the NFL record for longest touchdown arrived at the Hall of Fame on Thursday. Also sent to Canton was the football that Hester returned that day on the 108-yard return of a missed field goal.

Hester, who scored a league record six return touchdowns in 2006 (see list below), had his 108-yarder against the New York Giants just one day shy of a year from teammate Nathan Vasher's history maker. Vasher scored a 108-yard touchdown on a missed field goal against the San Francisco 49ers on November 13, 2005.

In 2006, Hester returned 20 kickoffs for 528 yards and scored two touchdowns. He also returned 47 punts for 600 yards and scored three times. His sensational season was recognized when he earned All-NFL honors and was voted to the Pro Bowl. He also added 7 kickoff returns for 184 yards in the playoffs that included a 92-yard return for a touchdown on the opening kickoff of Super Bowl XLI.

Hester's record returns:
1. Sept. 10 at Green Bay - 84-yard punt return
2. Oct. 16 at Arizona - 83 yard punt return
3. Nov. 12 at New York Giants - 108-yard field goal return
4. Dec. 3 vs. Minnesota - 45-yard punt return
5. Dec. 11 vs. St. Louis - 94-yard kickoff return
6. Dec. 11 vs. St. Louis - 96-yard kickoff return
