Tony Dungy at HOF on Friday and Saturday
The All Pro Dad Father & Kids Experience returns to the Pro Football Hall of Fame for a second year and partners with the event’s founder, former NFL head coach Tony Dungy.
Dungy will be at the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Friday, June 5 to host a special book signing in the Hall of Fame Store from 5:00-6:30 p.m. He will be on hand to sign copies of his newest best-selling books, “Uncommon”, “Quiet Strength”, and “You Can Do It”, a book for children. Admission and book purchase in the Hall of Fame Store is required. A special $10 admission price will be offered for the book-signing after 4:00 p.m. Advance copies of the book are also available. More information about the book signing is available on Profootballhof.com.
On Saturday, June 6, Dungy hosts the second annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Father and Kids Experience for a day of football fun, and father and child bonding on Pro Football Hall of Fame Field at Fawcett Stadium at 9:00 a.m. Also included is lunch and admission to the museum.
Family First, a national non-profit organization headquartered in Tampa, launched All Pro Dad with the help of Dungy, in 1997. At the June 6 event, fathers will get parenting tips while they and their children visit interactive, football-themed learning stations located on the field. New topics and activities will also be introduced this year.
“As a father of six children myself, I hope to encourage dads to put their children and their family first,” stated Dungy.
Dungy played three seasons in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers followed by a lengthy career as an assistant coach. He then served two stints as a NFL head coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1996-2001) and the Indianapolis Colts (2002-08). He became the first African American head coach to win a Super Bowl when he guided the Colts to a Super Bowl XLI victory in the 2006 season.
Participation in the All Pro Dad Father and Kids Experience is only $15 per family, which includes admission for one father and up to four children, lunch provided by Chick-fil-A, and admission to the Pro Football Hall of Fame after the event. The event is recommended for ages five and older. Register online at AllProDad.com or call 800-956-8300, ext. 309. Advance registration is required.
