HIDDEN TREASURES
The Pro Football Hall of Fame's archives is home to the vast majority of the museum’s collection with approximately 90 percent of the mementos housed in this area.
"The archives is actually the ideal place for these items from a preservation aspect," commented Jason Aikens, the Hall’s collections curator. "In reality, the best thing for our mementos is for them not to see the light of day. But, nobody learns anything from them unless we share them with the public."

The Canton Bulldogs were the first two-time champions of the National Football League. The early-day powerhouse won the league title in 1922 and again in 1923. This sideline coat was worn by Harry Robb who played for Canton from 1922-1923, and again in 1925-1926. From his recollection at the time he donated it to the Hall of Fame, Robb wore this coat in 1923 but may have also had it during the '22 season. |
