Physical Education Day at the HOF
The Pro Football Hall of Fame hosted Physical Education Day at Fawcett Stadium on Thursday as part of its numerous educational and youth initiatives. Nearly 600 kindergarten through eighth grade students took part in the day’s activities on the same field where the annual Hall of Fame Enshrinement and AFC-NFC Hall of Fame Game are held.
The program featured a discussion on strength training and nutrition as well as students performing physical activities similar to those at an NFL training camp. The activities were facilitated by Jon Laird, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Educational Advisory Panel and Physical Education instructor, coaching staff and players from Oberlin College, as well as students from nearby McKinley and Timken high schools.
