2008 student art contest winner
First Place Winner in the 2008 Hall of Fame Student Art Contest |
A Lake Cable Elementary (Jackson Local Schools) student may very well be a future artist. Artwork by Hannah Durr, a fifth grader, earned first place honors in the 2008 Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Student Art Contest.

For her winning entry, Hannah won a replica autographed football that includes the signatures of each member of the Class of 2008 – Fred Dean, Darrell Green, Art Monk, Emmitt Thomas, Andre Tippett and Gary Zimmerman – in a collector’s case with an engraved plaque and she also received four admission tickets to the Pro FootballHall of Fame. In addition, Hannah and her classmates in Joan Griest’s class at Lake Cable Elementary were treated to a pizza party and an assortment of Hall of Fame gift items. Hannah, 11, is the daughter of Craig and Dana Durr.
3rd Place |
Troy Hankins, a 10-year-old at Lake Cable Elementary in Jackson (teacher, Christy Gossett) won third place this year. Troy, son of Harold and Jennifer Hankins, won a mini Hall of Fame Helmet in a collector’s case, four tickets to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and an assortment of Hall of Fame gift items for his entire class.
The three winning entries will be on display in the Hall of Fame throughout the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement celebration.
