The Pro Football Hall of Fame hosted the Change of Command & Retirement Ceremony of U.S. Army Major David P. Hayhurst of the Canton (Ohio) Recruiting Company on Friday. Major Hayhurst, a veteran of the Persian Gulf War, relinquished command to Capt. Jack E. Samples. A native of Canton, Ohio Capt. Samples has conducted military operations in five countries.
The Canton Recruiting Company is serviced by the Canton-Massillon, New Philadelphia, Steubenville, and Wooster Recruiting Stations, and the company headquarters.
