Running up the yardage

History Published on : 10/26/2009

The New York Jets became the first team since the 1975 Buffalo Bills to rush for more than 300 yards in back-to-back games. The Jets amassed 316 yards in their 38-0 shutout win over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. That followed a 318-yard effort the Jets players totaled in the 16-13 overtime loss to the Bills in Week 6.

The 2009 Jets and ’75 Bills are the only teams since 1960 to have consecutive 300-yard rushing performances. Here’s a side-by-side look at the games.
