Lem Barney is a hit at Canal Park
Sport fans got their fill at Canal Park as Pro Football Hall of Famer Lem Barney was on hand for a meet and greet event during the Akron Aeros game on Sunday, June 27. Barney, the former standout cornerback for the Detroit Lions, threw out the ceremonial first pitch as the Aeros took on the Binghamton Mets.

Pro Football Hall of Fame Day at Canal Park also featured fun kid giveaways and an interactive football inflatable. As another chance for prizes, the first 1,000 attendees received Class of 2010 Panini Football Cards.
Two autograph sessions were held throughout the day, allowing fans to mingle with Barney.
When he wasn't busy meeting fans or taking photos, Barney went on air for an interview with Jim Clark on 1350 AM.
Between the prizes, activities and the fans' interaction with Barney, Hall of Fame Day at Canal Park proved to be a real homerun.
