Joe Greene's helmet
Joe Greene was one of the most feared defensive lineman of his era. An anchor of Pittsburgh’s vaunted “Steel Curtain” defense, Greene helped the Steelers capture four Super Bowl victories during a six-year span.
Greene was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987, his first year of eligibility. That year, this helmet along with his jersey were sent to the Hall of Fame. The well-worn helmet is testament to his nickname "Mean" Joe Greene.
