Coach Paul Brown was a stoic figure on the sidelines for 25 seasons. On game days, Brown, outfitted in a sports coat and tie and wearing his signature dress hat, looked more like the team’s business manager than the head coach. A master of detail, he was in fact one of the game’s most innovative coaches and a master strategist as evidenced by his in-depth scouting reports and game preparation sheets.
