Hall of Fame receives education award

The Pro Football Hall of Fame received a 2011-2012 CILC Pinnacle Award from the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC). The award is presented annually to organizations delivering outstanding K-12 standards based on interactive videoconferencing programs.

To qualify for the award, the provider must receive a minimum 2.85 average score out of a possible 3.0 on their program evaluations from educators during the school year. The evaluation assess seven areas: two related to the effectiveness of the presenter and five related to the educational content of the program. 

“It is a tremendous honor to be selected for the second consecutive year as a CILC Pinnacle Award winner,” said Jerry Csaki, the Hall of Fame’s education programs coordinator. “Knowing that the selection is based upon teacher feedback from post-conference evaluations lets us know we are on the right track.” 

The Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC) was established in 1994 as a not-for-profit, specializing in the access to applications and the utilization of videoconferencing for live interactive content and professional development, as well as web based collaborative learning environments for K-12 education. CILC provides consulting expertise in videoconferencing, integration, problem based learning projects, school-community partnerships and effective techniques for the delivery and development of quality programs.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame’s educational outreach program was established in 1984. Since that time the program has grown from a local field trip destination to programming reach nearly all 50 states and beyond through a variety of educational initiatives.
