Hall of Fame quarterback WARREN MOON will be inducted into the State of Washington Sports Hall of Fame this Sunday at CenturyLink Field prior to the Seattle Seahawks' game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Moon, who spent time quarterbacking the Seahawks as well as the Houston Oilers, Minnesota Vikings and the Kansas City Chiefs, is now a color commentator on Seahawks broadcasts. Enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006, Moon is also a member of both the University of Washington and the Canadian Football League Halls of Fame.

Warren first burst onto the national scene during a stellar career at the University of Washington. He led the Huskies to their first ever Rose Bowl victory, a 27-20 win over Michigan in 1977. He was named the Player of the Game.

Following his Rose Bowl heroics, Moon spent the next six years with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. He led the franchise to five Grey Cup titles before breaking into the National Football League by signing with the Oilers as a free agent in 1984.

The strong-armed quarterback then embarked on a 17-year career in the NFL that saw him compile 49,325 yards and throw 291 touchdown passes. He was named to nine Pro Bowls and threw for 3,000 yards or more nine times.

The State of Washington Sports Hall of Fame was started by sportscaster Clay Huntington of Tacoma in 1960 and now has 178 members.
