A Perfect Pair in a Perfect Season
In 1972 the Miami Dolphins became the first NFL team to go undefeated in both the regular and post-season. Key contributors were fullback Larry Csonka and halfback Mercury Morris. Csonka rushed for 1,117 yards while teammate Mercury Morris rushed for 1,000 yards. It was the first time in NFL history that two backs on the same team rushed for 1,000 yards in the same season.
