Hall, Extreme Networks provide grant to local school

The Pro Football Hall of Fame, in conjunction with partner Extreme Networks, Inc., a leading provider of high performance network solutions, announced a significant equipment grant to H.R. Walker Elementary School of the Canton Local Schools in Canton, Ohio. Extreme Networks and the Hall of Fame together are providing Walker Elementary with Wi-Fi and wired internal networks as well as a robust Internet connection. This will allow teachers to integrate technology seamlessly into the classroom and prepare for new online State testing that will be implemented during the next school year.

"Our network was outdated so it was critical that we upgrade our technology infrastructure to deliver on our promise of leading our 3,500 students in Canton Local to a brighter tomorrow. With the grant from Extreme Networks and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, we're benefitting students and teachers alike, allowing teachers to better integrate technology into their teaching and students to access a fast and reliable connection from their devices," said Hall of Fame President David Baker.

The donation was presented on July 15 at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
