Titans Organization Helps Homeless During Holidays
The Tennessee Titans joined forces with Second Harvest Food Bank to assist the Bridge Ministry. More than 100 volunteers from the Titans' organization, including players, cheerleaders, staff and families were on hand to deliver hot meals, hand out clothing items to homeless people under Nashville’s Jefferson Street Bridge

Titans ownership, including Tommy Smith, Susie Smith and Kenneth S. Adams, IV, presented the Bridge Ministry with a $25,000 check to continue its long-standing efforts in providing services to Nashville's less fortunate.Bethea to Coach in a All-Star Game
Gold Jacket Elvin Bethea was recently selected as a linebackers coach for the American Team in the second annual Medal of Honor Bowl.The Medal of Honor Bowl is an all-star game that features the nation’s top draft-eligible college football players. The game honors Medal of Honor recipients. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Congressional Medal of Honor Museum, disabled veterans and the Wounded Warriors of South Carolina.
The game, which will be televised live on the NBC Sports Network, will be played on Jan. 10 at 2:30 p.m. ET at Johnson Hagood Stadium on The Citadel campus in Charleston, S.C.
Singletary Leads All-Stars
Chicago Bears legend and Gold Jacket Mike Singletary was selected to coach the East Squad of college all-stars during the 90th East-West Shrine Game.The game features some of the best players in college football. One of the beneficiaries of the game is to help children and families in need by raising awareness and support for Shriners Hospitals for children.
The all-star game will air on Jan. 17, 2015 on NFL Network.
Roaf Honored at College Football Hall of Fame Event
Congratulations to Gold Jacket Willie Roaf who was honored this past week at the 57th Annual National Football Foundation (NFF) Awards Dinner.The induction ceremony, which included 14 players and two coaches bring to the total number of players in the College Football Hall of Fame to 948 and the number of coaches in the Hall to 207, took place at the Waldorf Astoria Grand Ballroom in New York City.
The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame is a non-profit educational organization that runs programs designed to use the power of amateur football in developing scholarship, citizenship and athletic achievement in young people.

Boldin Donates $1 Million for Scholarships
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin recently announced that he and his wife, Dionne, will help create scholarships to high school graduates through a donation.

The scholarships will be awarded annually based on students’ academic achievements, their contributions in the community and who demonstrate the need.
This fall, the Anquan Boldin Foundation distributed $10,000 scholarships to four high-school graduates for a total of $40,000 in awards. The Foundation’s mission is to expand the educational and life opportunities of underprivileged youth and focuses on charitable activities in Phoenix, Baltimore, South Florida and San Francisco Bay Area.
Stephen Tulloch and Operation 55
Detroit Lions linebacker Stephen Tulloch foundation Operation 55 launched a new Adopt A School program in November. The foundation’s mission in general is to help as many people as possible and give children throughout the Metro Detroit area opportunities to come to Detroit Lions home games to experience a game day with Tulloch.Tulloch also partners with students that do not have insurance every year, providing 55 kids with free dental services, and adopted families in Detroit affected by cancer for the holidays providing them with food, clothing and toys.
This holiday season Tulloch’s Adopt A School initiative is providing computers, laptops, tablets, school supplies, and new recess equipment to 55 school across the city of Detroit.
Doak Walker
A three-time All-America and the 1948 Heisman Trophy winner while at Southern Methodist, Doak Walker brought glowing credentials to pro football when he joined the Detroit Lions in 1950.

DeMarco Murray would join Gold Jacket Emmitt Smith as the only Cowboys runners to win a NFL rushing title. Smith is just one of six running backs with Four or more NFL rushing titles. Not surprisingly, the others have earned election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
