Hall Receives Artifacts from 2015 NFL Season
The Pro Football Hall of Fame has already begun receiving exciting artifacts from the 2015 NFL Season.
One of those artifacts is the cleats worn by Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota from his stellar rookie debut in Week 1. He completed 13 of 16 passes for 209 yards and four touchdowns for a 158.3 passer rating in the Titans 42-14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is the first rookie in NFL history to post a 158.3 passer rating on Kickoff Weekend. This is the highest attainable rating. Mariota also joined Gold Jacket Fran Tarkenton as the only rookies to throw four touchdown passes on kickoff weekend.
The Hall of Fame also obtained was the jersey worn by Buffalo Bills wide receiver Percy Harvin. Harvin had five catches for 79 yards, including a 51-yard touchdown catch, during the Bills 27-14 victory against the Indianapolis Colts on Kickoff Weekend. Harvin and Hall of Famer Ollie Matson are the only players in NFL history with at least four career 50-yard touchdown catches and three 100-yard kickoff-return touchdowns.
Both artifacts are currently displayed in the Hall of Fame’s Pro Football Today Gallery.
