Football is a game that teaches many life lessons to help people succeed in life. Ask Gold Jacket Fran Tarkenton. The former Minnesota Vikings quarterback talked to ProFootballHOF.com on Sept. 10, 2015 about his new book “The Power of Failure: Succeeding in the Age of Innovation.” In this unique and inspiring book, Tarkenton takes us through the specific steps that led to his discovery that failure brings incredible power. He shares some never-before told stories of the golden years of the NFL and his personal and sometimes painful experiences with such legends as Howard Cosell, Gold Jackets Bud Grant, Frank Gifford, Roger Staubach, and many others. He also shares the invaluable business lessons he learned from his great friends and mentors, Walmart founder Sam Walton and Home Depot founder Bernie Marcus.
