Marvin Harrison Selects Hall of Fame Presenter
One of the most important things to a Hall of Famer when planning for their Enshrinement is deciding who will present them. Some Hall of Famers know right away and for others it takes more time.
Indianapolis Colts legendary wide receiver Marvin Harrison took his time, but carefully decided that Colts owner Jim Irsay will present him during his induction on Aug. 6. Harrison worked with Irsay for most of his 13-year career in the NFL.
"I cannot tell you how grateful and honored I am to be asked by one of pro football's all-time greatest players---Marvin Harrison---to present him into the Hall of Fame," Irsay said. "Marvin provided innumerable exciting, jaw-dropping memories for me, and presenting him into the Hall is very humbling."
When he was elected, one of the first people Harrison called to share the good news was Irsay.
The former wide receiver spent his entire career with the Colts and amassed 1,102 receptions for 14,580 yards and 128 touchdowns.
Harrison recently visited the Hall of Fame to plan for his Enshrinement. During his tour, he spoke with ProFootballHOF.com about his quarterback Peyton Manning and shared memories from the two when they played together.
