Junior Seau Foundation Donates to Challenged Athletes Foundation
Hall of Famer Junior Seau’s legacy will forever be preserved at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His legacy will also live on through his foundation.
The Junior Seau Foundation recently donated $250,000 to the Challenged Athletes Foundation, which provides opportunities and support to people with physical challenges so they can pursue an active lifestyle through physical fitness and competitive athletes.
When Seau wasn’t performing on the gridiron, he spent his time in the ocean surfing.
The foundation’s donation will be used to purchase surfboards, beach wheelchairs, along with a custom trailer to carry that equipment to honor one of his passions in life. Coaching and travel grants for children's surf camps and clinics will also help the kids.
Seau’s foundation was established in 1992 to help underprivileged kids in San Diego.
