HOF Joins Forces with Goodyear
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company announced today a sponsorship agreement with the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The agreement extends Goodyear’s brand leadership position in football, a sport the world-famous Goodyear Blimp has covered overhead for more than 60 years.
The two entities plan to engage fans with unique and inspirational content from the living legends that have given so much to the game of football through Goodyear’s “Blimpworthy” campaign.
Launched in September 2016, “Blimpworthy” is what defines the spirit of football – hard work, grit and determination – that takes place on and off the field. Leveraging the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s vast archive housed in the Ralph Wilson, Jr. Pro Football Research & Preservation Center, Goodyear will tell “Blimpworthy” stories through Hall of Famers and the moments in time that transformed their careers.
To kick off the relationship, Goodyear and the Pro Football Hall of Fame will support a special salute to service throughout the month of November to encourage appreciation of service by the U.S. Armed Forces. Goodyear will provide free museum admission to the Pro Football Hall of Fame for all veterans and active military along with a guest during the entire month. The Hall of Fame is also holding a special Veterans’ Day event called “Honor the Heroes: A Salute to Service” on Saturday, November 5. The program includes special appearances by U.S. Navy Seal and Medal of Honor Recipient Senior Chief Edward C. Byers, Jr. and World War II veteran Ernie Andrus.
For more than 60 years, the Goodyear Blimp coverages has been synonymous with capturing the heart the soul of America’s national pastime through sports.
