This spring the Nebraska Huskers Family will add another name to its roster with NFL roots. Kade Warner, son of Class of 2017 Pro Football Hall of Famer Kurt Warner, announced Thursday evening on Twitter that he plans to walk-on to the University of Nebraska.

Having totaled 241 catches for 2,892 yards and 35 touchdowns during his career at Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound receiver is moved beyond words!

The walk-on path may not be the easiest way to go, but it’s certainly been one plenty of players have gone down before to find success.

Kurt son's journey as a walk-on has teammates like Hall of Famers Kevin Greene and John Randle, who were walk-ons at Auburn and Texas.

Probably one of the most well-known walk-on NFL player is Brandon Burlsworth. His journey was well documented in the film "Greater" which premiered at the Pro football Hall of Fame in January 2016.

The Pro Football Hall wishes the Warner Family on Kade’s new success and accomplishments. Here is a look at the young Warner in action at Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Arizona.
