Earl and Tyler Campbell Host Hall of Fame Members

University of Texas Heisman Trophy winner and Pro Football Hall of Fame running back, Earl Campbell and his son, Tyler, will host the 6th Annual Flavors of Austin on Saturday, March 4 at the Radisson Hotel & Suites.

The 2017 Flavors of Austin will benefit the Pro Player Foundation and the highlighted charity is the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The Campbells are very passionate about the Society’s Scholarship Program and the impact it has on the students.

This annual event raises awareness for multiple sclerosis while showcasing the amazing cuisine and talented chefs for which the city has become known.

Additionally, Pro Football Hall of Fame members Tony Dorsett, Joe Greene and Rayfield Wright will be in attendance to lend their support for the Pro Player Foundation and the Society’s goal of changing the world for everyone affected by MS. Joining these former football legends, will be Texas Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2016 Inductee T.J. Ford, former University of Texas Basketball point guard, 2006 Rose Bowl MVP and former University of Texas quarterback Vince Young, former University of Texas and Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Casey Hampton, former All-American Safety, Michael Huff, All Big 12 Offensive Tackle Kasey Studdard and other UT greats.

Guests will indulge in culinary bites from Dine, the Bonneville, Chinatown, Eberly, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Hoover’s Cooking, Little Barrel and Brown, Paperboy, Austin Gourmet Popcorn, Ranch 616, Salt Lick BBQ, Searsucker, The University of Texas Club and Winflo Osteria.

Delectable desserts will be provided by Amy’s Ice Creams, Shipley Do-Nuts and Sinsational Cakes Bakery. The 2016 Volunteer Chefs of the Year were Chefs Chris Hurley and Jennifer Costello from the Bonneville. Guests also have the opportunity to bid on sports memorabilia, restaurant packages, a Mexico trip and ResorTime vacations to Hawaii and San Diego.

Entertainment will be provided by Austin-born and raised Jane Ellen Bryant. Bryant was Austin Music Foundation’s “Artist of the Month” in November 2016. University of Texas A Cappella group, Beauties and the Beat will give a special performance.
